This policy covers Unlocked Advisory Time, the private time-recording application operated by Unlocked Advisory at time.unlockedadvisory.com. It is used only by consultants engaged by Unlocked Advisory to record hours worked on client engagements.
In short. We ask Google for your name and email address, and nothing else. We store the time entries you submit. We do not sell data, we do not advertise, we do not track you, and we share nothing with third parties beyond the accounting software used to invoice our clients.
Information we collect
- From Google, when you sign in: your name and email address. These come from
Google's Sign-In service using the
openid,emailandprofilescopes. We request no other scopes. - From you, when you use the app: the date, client, number of hours and the description of work for each entry you submit.
- Technical: a single essential cookie holding your signed-in session. There is no analytics, no advertising technology and no third-party tracking on this site.
Why we collect it
Your name and email identify whose time an entry belongs to, and confirm you are on the list of people authorised to use the tool. The time entries are business records: Unlocked Advisory reviews them and uses them to invoice the clients that work was done for.
How Google user data is used
Unlocked Advisory Time's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically, your name and email are used only to identify you within this application. They are not used for advertising, not sold, not transferred to others except as described below, and not used to build any profile.
Where it is stored
- Time entries are stored in a Google Sheets workbook in Unlocked Advisory's Google Workspace account, accessible only to Unlocked Advisory.
- The application runs on Cloudflare Workers. Cloudflare processes requests in order to serve the site.
- Consultants cannot see the workbook, and cannot see one another's entries through the app.
Who we share it with
Approved time entries — the client, date, hours and work description — are sent to QuickBooks Online, the accounting software Unlocked Advisory uses to raise client invoices. Beyond that, we share your information with no one. We do not sell it, rent it, or disclose it for advertising.
We may disclose information where required by law, or where necessary to establish or defend a legal claim.
How long we keep it
Time entries are financial records and are retained for as long as required for accounting, tax and professional-record purposes. Your name and email are retained for as long as you have access to the tool, and thereafter as part of those records.
Your choices
You can stop using the application at any time, and you can revoke its access to your Google account at myaccount.google.com/permissions. To ask what is held about you, to correct it, or to request deletion where we are not required to retain it, write to kari@unlockedadvisory.com.
Security
Sign-in is handled by Google; this application never sees or stores a password. Sessions are carried in a signed, HttpOnly, Secure cookie. Credentials used to reach Google Sheets and QuickBooks are held as encrypted platform secrets and are never exposed in the application.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page.
